Pianist to perform Friday at Heidelberg


World-renowned pianist Nikita Mndoyants is to bring his talents to Heidelberg University at 7 p.m. Friday in Brenneman Music Hall for a free concert.

Mndoyants gave his first public recital at age 8 and recorded his first CD at age 10. His concert is to feature pieces by classical composers Haydn, Beethoven and Brahms, as well as an original composition, titled “Intermezzo.”

Mndoyants is a graduate of the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in Moscow. He has toured Asia, Europe, Russia and the U.S. After giving his first chamber performance in 2004, he has released solo and chamber recordings on the Classical Records and Praga Digitals labels. Since 2013, Mndoyants has taught orchestration at the Moscow Conservatory.
