Art guild to present exhibit for Clyde artist

Tiffin Art Guild is to present the grand opening of the exhibit, “The Art of Carol K. Hoffman,” 4-6 p.m. Saturday at the guild, 130 S. Washington St.

The exhibit is to be open until Dec. 1.

Hoffman was born and raised in Clyde and is a professional artist and teacher. She has a bachelor’s degree in fine art from Bowling Green State University and studied art in Florence, Italy. Hoffman is a is a member of the Society of Decorative Painters and earned a certified decorative artist degree in 1989.

Her Old World style of still life painting has earned her many awards, including several Best Of Show awards throughout the country.

Her background includes 38 years of experience in teaching art. She was sole owner of an arts and crafts store for 20 of those years. She now teaches oils, acrylic and watercolor painting in her private studio, Side Door Art, 535 N. Mulberry St., Clyde, and at conventions, chapters and retreats across the United States.

The gallery is open noon-4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturday.
