SpiritSpace celebrating 10 years of offering hand-made creations

SpiritSpace Gallery and Gifts, located in the St. Francis Spirituality Center, is celebrating 10 years.

The gallery is featuring new works by wood artist Chad Schock, pottery by Tina Mira and silk scarves eco-printed by Bob Murray.

The gallery offers gifts, cards, CDs and books that enhance the spiritual dimension of life.

The shop also showcases Sister Jane Frances Omlor’s pottery as well as local photography by Sister Stella Magers and paintings and batiks by Sister Paulette Schroeder and Sister Gemma Fenbert.

Jazz vocalist Sunny Wilkinson to perform Friday in Marion Center

Tiffin University is to welcome jazz vocalist and recording artist Sunny Wilkinson at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Marion Center.

Wilkinson has performed with The County Basie Band, Rob McConnell and the Boss Brass, Mark Murphy, Milt Hinton, Kenny Wheeler, Clark Terry, Bill Watrous, Ron Carter, Curtis Fuller, Edgar Winter and Gene Bertoncini.

Snowflake art workshop planned for Dec. 16 at HPLM in Fremont

FREMONT — Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Library & Museums is to host a paper snowflake art workshop 2-4 p.m. Dec. 16.

Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children ages 6-12.

Tickets for Louie Anderson’s Dec. 28 performance at The Ritz for sale

The Ritz Theatre recently added comedian Louie Anderson to perform at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 28 at the theater, 30 S. Washington St. Tickets are $20-$50.

Anderson is a three-time Emmy Award winner and named by Comedy Central as “One of 100 Greatest Stand-Up Comedians of All Time.”

His career has spanned more than 30 years. He is a best-selling author, star of his own standup specials and sitcoms and he continues to tour the country performing to standing-room-only crowds worldwide.
