Emily Katherine Swartzmiller and Eric Josef Barnett exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. May 9, 2015, at Ravenwood Castle in the Hocking Hills area. Carol Schleich performed the ceremony, which was followed by a unity sand ceremony and a poem to commemorate family members who have died.
The bride is the daughter of Steven Swartzmiller and Lynette Swartzmiller, both of Tiffin. The groom is the son of Brian and Karen Barnett of Helena and the late Victoria Harger of Fremont.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her parents, wore a lace, empire-waist dress, complimented with pearls and a cathedral-length veil. She carried a bouquet of white hydrangeas and light purple roses.
The bride, a 2010 graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School, works at the Center for Autism and Dyslexia as a teacher’s aide.
The groom, a 2009 graduate of Gibsonburg High School, works at Whirlpool Corp. in Findlay.
A dinner for the wedding party followed the ceremony at Old Dutch Restaurant in Logan. A reception was at 2 p.m. May 30, 2015.
The couple lives in Findlay.
