Marissa Kurtz and Aaron Smith exchanged wedding vows at 5:30 p.m. June 13, 2015, at Cedar Springs Pavilion, Tipp City. The officiant was grandfather of the bride, Richard Garman. A reception followed the ceremony at the pavilion.

The bride is the daughter of Gary Kurtz and Lori Lees of Springboro. The groom is the son of Gene and Jane Smith of Bascom.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory, strapless lace overlay gown with a sweetheart neckline. It was accented with a hand-beaded belt around the waist. She had a fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of roses, peonies and ranunculus.

Bridesmaids wore coral, long chiffon dresses and carried hydrangea bouquets, while the groomsmen were in charcoal gray pants and vests, with ivory shirts and black ties.

Bridesmaids were Mallory Lees, Katie Latham, Rachel Hudock, Jennifer Dills, Audrey Smith, Stephani Cook and Lauren Harbison. Groomsmen included best man Junior Brickner along with Alec Wagner, Josh Gillig, Andrew Smith, Travis Nye, Kevin Tiell, Brian Cahill and Sam Lees.

The bride, a 2009 graduate of Springboro High School, graduated from Lee University in 2013 with a middle school education degree. She completed a master’s degree in education in 2015 and is a seventh-grade science teacher.

The groom is a 2004 graduate of Hopewell Loudon and owns and operates an electrical company.

The couple reside in Springboro after returning from their Royal Caribbean honeymoon cruise to San Juan, St. Martin and St. Kitts.
