T-SPL to host magic programming

As part of the junior summer reading program, Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host Jeff Wawrzaszek of A2 Magic at 10 a.m. July 21 in the Adult Reading Room.

Wawrzaszek is to bring sleight of hand, audience participation, pantomime and imaginative music with a twist.

Following the show, a Build a Better Sundae program is to be taking place in the Frost Kalnow Room.

OLD FORT — Old Fort Board of Education is to meet at 6 p.m. Monday in the high school library, 7635 N. CR 51.

Seneca County Board of DD to meet

Seneca County Board of Developmental Disabilities is to meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Seneca County Opportunity Center, 780 E. CR 20.

Aspire classes accepting students

The Vanguard-Sentinel Aspire program — formerly known as ABLE — is offering free classes to help adults improve their reading, math or writing skills, to prepare for the GED test and to get ready for college or an adult certificate training program.

To enroll in classes, students are to attend an orientation in order to set goals, complete placement testing and develop an individualized learning plan.

Orientation dates are:

* 9 a.m. or 5 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at Vanguard Adult Workforce Development Center.

* 8:30 a.m. July 17 and 18; or 5 p.m. July 18 and 19 Sentinel Career and Technology Center.

* 9 a.m. Monday and Wednesday or 5 p.m. Aug. 29 and 31 Fostoria Junior/Senior High School.

Terra State to host ‘All-In-One Day’

FREMONT — Terra State Community College is to host All-In-One Day 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday in Roy Klay Hall, in order to help students enroll in classes for the fall semester.

During the event, new and returning students are able to apply for admission if they have not already done so, take the appropriate placement tests, meet with an adviser, enroll in classes and receive assistance with financial aid.

No appointment is necessary.

Baldwin Wallace graduates

BEREA — The following local students have obtained degrees from Baldwin Wallace University.

Jordan Gase of Tiffin, bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders; Thomas Stein of Clyde, master of medical science degree as a physician assistant; and Alivia Stephan of Carey, bachelor’s degree in exercise science.

Sunshine State athletic honor roll

BOCA RATON, Fla. — Katie Tiell of Tiffin has been named to the Sunshine State Conference Commissioners Honor Roll for the spring 2017 semester as a member of the Lynn University swim team, which collected its eighth consecutive College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Team Award.
