Terra to offer all-in-one day

FREMONT — Terra State Community College is to host several all-in-one days to help students enroll in classes for the spring and summer 2019 semesters Thursday and Dec. 17 8 a.m.-7 p.m. in Roy Klay Hall.

During this event, new and returning students can apply for admission if they have not already done so, take the appropriate placement tests, meet with an adviser, enroll in classes and receive assistance with financial aid.

Terra sets rapid registration times

FREMONT — Terra State Community College is to offer several “Rapid Registration” events to assist students in registering for spring and summer 2019 classes. During a “Rapid Registration” appointment, students can register for classes, complete orientation and have any questions answered. Students can schedule an appointment on the following days:

• 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Dec. 8.

• 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Dec. 13

• 10 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Dec. 20.

Students who do not have a current ACT/SAT or Accuplacer score on file should call (419) 559-2345 to schedule a testing appointment prior to registration. Students should also plan a few extra minutes to visit financial aid, cashier’s office and other campus locations.

Story time for preschoolers

Preschool story time at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is set for 10 a.m. Tuesday and Dec. 11 in the Frost Kalnow Room of the library, 77 Jefferson St.

Stories, poems, songs, finger plays, crafts and more. For preschoolers age three to five.

Time for teens at the library

Teen Tuesday at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is set for 3-4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Dec. 11 and 18 in the Frost Kalnow Room of the library, 77 Jefferson St.

Games, snacks, crafts and more for teens in grades 6 thru 12.

Writing club to gather

The next Ink Well Writing Club meeting at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Kernan Room of the library, 77 Jefferson St.

All types of writers serious about sharpening their skills with review and critique by their peers are welcome to join. Participants are asked to submit writing samples to inkwell@tiffinseneca

library.org by Tuesday. Samples are to be shared with peers prior to the first meeting and privacy will be respected.

Play video games at the library

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library’s Teen Department is to host a “Super Smash Bros.” tournament 3-5 p.m. Wednesday in the Frost Kalnow Room of the library, 77 Jefferson St.

The tournament is to feature round-robin style gameplay of the WiiU game “Super Smash Bros.” Teens are to earn points and win prizes. Snacks are to be provided. This event is free for teens in sixth through 12th grade. Prizes have been donated by Level Up.

Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is to host a Gathering of Readers at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 10 in the Frost Kalnow Room, 77 Jefferson St.

Members of local book groups, as well as anyone who enjoys reading, are invited to come together for an evening to celebrate reading. Be prepared to discuss a favorite book from this year. A white elephant book exchange is to take place; please wrap a book from home and bring it along. Everyone is to leave with a new book to enjoy.
