Tiffin reports

A caller reported Friday afternoon two subjects on bikes stole items from Kroger and Big Lots. According to the report, police were unable to locate the subjects.

A first-block West Market Street caller reported Friday evening possibly being scammed.

A 300-block Elm Street caller reported Friday evening a window was broken out of a vehicle.

A gasoline drive-off was reported Friday evening at US Petro, 260 S. Washington St. According to the report, the driver returned and paid for the gas.

A person was at the station Friday night to report unauthorized charges on a credit card.

A caller from Mercy Tiffin Hospital, 45 St. Lawrence Drive, requested police assistance Saturday morning after a person who had been transported by squad became violent.

A gasoline drive-off was reported Saturday morning at The Pit Stop, 321 E. Perry St. According to the report, the bill was paid over the phone.

A caller reported Saturday afternoon a boy’s father was threatening to have the boy beaten up by gang members.

County reports

An employee from Maple Grove Quarry, 1967 W. CR 42, reported Friday night unknown people were on a spare locomotive.

An assault was reported Friday night by a caller in the 1700 block of S. Duchess Lane.

Tiffin accidents

A truck struck the viaduct Saturday morning on North Washington Street at Harrison. According to the report, the truck’s top was ripped off, and the driver was cited with failure to follow truck routes.

A two-vehicle, non-injury accident occurred Saturday afternoon in the 700 block of West Market Street.

State Patrol

An accident was reported Friday afternoon at West CR 26 and West SR 18. According to a spokesperson for the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, Bascom fire and EMS and Echo 1 responded to the scene and no one was transported. A spokesperson for the State Highway Patrol had no additional details Saturday evening.

Tiffin EMS were called out once early Friday afternoon, once Friday afternoon, once Friday night and twice Saturday morning.

Green Springs EMS and fire made a squad run Friday night.

Bettsville EMS and fire made a squad run early Saturday morning.

Echo 1 and Attica EMS and fire made a squad run Saturday morning.

Fire

Tiffin firefighters were called to 90 W. Market St. late Friday evening for a service call.

Sycamore EMS and fire responded Saturday afternoon to a report of flames coming out of a light socket.
