Artistic exhibition rings a theme
The Diane Kidd Gallery at Tiffin University is to host “Olympic Ideals, Images and Impressions,” an exhibit of drawings by acclaimed sports artist and Olympian Liston Bochette. There is to be an opening reception 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.
The exhibit is to run through Dec. 3.
Bochette’s art speaks volumes to the philosophy that guides him. His art is more than an exercise in technical expertise; his creations demonstrate a deep insight ino our greater social behavior as well as a mastery of constructive execution.
Bochette is a five-time Olympian in summer and winter Olympic Games. He served at the highest levels of international sports administration and held government positions. He earned academic degrees in fine arts, humanities and education. He is also a published author and lauded public speaker.
