River in action stage

Water flows in the Sandusky River under the Huss Street bridge Thursday afternoon.

National Weather Service issued a flood watch until 4 a.m. today. According to the weather service, river flooding and flooding of low-lying; and poor drainage areas would be likely. The Sandusky River was at 7.72 feet Thursday evening.

National Weather Service was predicting it would reach 8 feet at 7 a.m. today.

Minor flood stage is 9 feet, according to National Weather Service.The weather service also issued a wind advisory Thursday afternoon, and it was to be in effect until 10 a.m. today. The weather service predicted winds would be 25-30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
