New season announced at The Ritz

The band Toto is to play at The Ritz Oct. 6.

The Ritz Theatre has announced its 2019-20 theater season with a variety of acts and something for everyone.

The coming events include music, comedy, dance, community theater and family entertainment. This year’s season includes artists such as Toto, Trace Adkins, Chicks with Hits, The Texas Tenors, Peter Noone, Chuck Negron, Legendary Voices of Rock – Unlocked and more.

Subscriptions for all events on The Ritz Theatre’s 2019-20 season are to go on sale July 8 and individual ticket sales are to begin Aug. 5.

Kicking off the season will be the Legendary Voices of Rock – Unlocked with voices of Don Dokken of Dokken, Kip Winger of Winger, Jack Russell of Great White and Eric Martin of Mr. Big.

They will be taking stage at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 6.

According to Ritz Executive Director Michael Strong, the tribute will take on the Queen phenomenon with Queen Flash at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 4.

“They will give the audience the full Queen experience,” Strong said.

Next on the line-up with hits “Africa,” “Rosanna” and “Hold the Line,” Toto with the 40 Trips Around the Sun tour will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 6.

This year’s line-up in country will be David Nail & The Well Ravens at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 12 and Trace Adkins 7:30 p.m. April 17. Chicks with Hits with Terri Clark, Pam Tillis and Suzy Bogguss will be in Tiffin May 15.

Next is One Night in Memphis at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 8, which will focus on the music record at Sun Records of (Elvis) Presley, (Carl) Perkins, (Jerry Lee) Lewis and (Johnny) Cash.

This Christmas, The Texas Tenors will present Deep in the Heart of Christmas at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 18.

Herman’s Hermits, starring Peter Noone, then will be at The Ritz at 7:30 p.m. March 21 and Chuck Negron – formerly of Three Dog Night – will be in Tiffin at 7:30 p.m. April 18.

Returning to The Ritz stage will be pianist Thomas Pandolfi at 2 p.m. March 27. In addition, there will be Here Come the Mummies at 7:30 p.m. April 24 and trieaDANCE on May 2.

Sought-after illusionist Reza will be in town to present Edge of Illusion at 7:30 p.m. April 26.

The Ritz’s Friday Night Live will be returning at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18, Nov. 15, Dec. 20, Jan. 17, Feb. 14, March 13, April 3 and May 22.

The Hollywood’s Greatest Movies series will be taking place again this year Oct. 23, Nov. 6, Dec. 17, Jan. 15, Feb. 19, March 18, April 15 and May 13.

Nobodies of Comedy tour is to return at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 25.

The Ritz Players will be presenting “To Kill a Mockingbird,” “The Producers,” “The Robber Bridegroom” and “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.”

In addition, the Ritz Teen Thespian Guild will present “The Outsiders.”

The Ritz will be presenting its Discovery Series again, focusing on “To Kill a Mockingbird,” Rosa Parks, “What Do You Do with an Idea,” and “Peter Rabbit Tales.”
