Rachel F. (Myers) Drouillard
Rachel F. (Myers) Drouillard, 83, of Findlay and formerly Tiffin, Mansfield and Carey, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at Fox Run Assisted Living, Findlay.
She was born July 1, 1934, in Carey, to Harry and Marie (Pauly) Myers. She married Robert J. Drouillard Oct. 10, 1978, in Lexington, and he preceded her in death March 15, 2017.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Logsdon, formerly of Tiffin, and a brother, David Myers, formerly of Carey.
At the age of 14, Rachel entered the Sisters of St. Francis Convent, Tiffin, and became a sister. She was a graduate of St. Francis High School, earned a teaching degree graduating from the College of St. Francis, Joliet, Illinois, and a master’s degree in music from Xavier University, Cincinnati. Rachel was a sister of St. Francis for more than 25 years, serving the Diocese of Toledo at 12 different parishes. She was an accomplished musician, playing piano and organ for the many parishes she served. She taught second grade many years at different schools and retired after 21 years as a teacher at St. Mary’s School, Mansfield.
Visitation will be 1:30 p.m., until time of the funeral liturgy at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 8, 2018, at St. Francis Convent Chapel, 200 St. Francis Avenue, Tiffin. Burial will follow in St. Francis Convent Cemetery, Tiffin.
