Christopher W. “Moss” Gahris, 57, passed away at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2019, at Eden Springs Nursing Home, Green Springs.

He was born May 24, 1961, in Upper Sandusky, to David and Donna J. (Fuller) Gahris.

Christopher is survived by four children, Amber Stalsworth-Terry of New Riegel, Christopher Gahris of Tiffin, Nychole Gahris of Tiffin and Stephanie Gahris of Napoleon; three grandchildren, Hunter Fitschen, Haliee Stalsworth and Braxton Teeple; a great-granddaughter, Avayah; two brothers, Steven Gahris of Tiffin and Robert (Sue) Gahris of Mesa, Arizona; and two nephews, Josh Gahris of Los Angeles, California, and Ryan Gahris of Ethiopia.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Christopher was a graduate of Columbian High School. He worked as a manager for Fort Ball Pizza Palace from 1978 to 1993, when he moved to Chandler, Arizona. He then worked for Alcoa for 17 years before returning to Tiffin in 2012 to be with his children. Christopher loved sports and was an avid fan of the Cleveland Browns and Indians as well as the Ohio State Buckeyes. Chris’s favorite hangout was the old M&R Bar.

There will be no services for Christopher at this time.

A celebration of Chris’s life and birthday will take place at a future date.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or a charity of the donor’s choice.
