JoAnn F. Bouillon

JoAnn F. Bouillon, 94, of Tiffin, died at 12:36 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Volunteers of America Autumnwood Care Center, Tiffin.

She was born Nov. 10, 1924, in Tiffin, to Carl L. and Mercedes (Goetz) Steinmetz. She married Gerald E. “Jerry” Bouillon May 9, 1947, at St. Wendelin Catholic Church, Fostoria, and he died July 8, 2018.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia A. (Butch) Bish of Burgoon; four sons, Ronald J. Bouillon of Tiffin, Robert A. (Diana) Bouillon of New Riegel, Raymond E. (Joyce) Bouillon of Tiffin and Richard C. (Dorothy) Bouillon of Alvada; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, plus two arriving this summer; and a brother, Charles (Jan) Steinmetz of Greensboro, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Wilfred, Donald and John Steinmetz; and two sisters, Dorothy Gabel and Margaret Saalman.

JoAnn worked at Golden Acres Turkey Farm for 25 1/2 years and Oberlin Processing for 16 years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Rosary Altar Society, and enjoyed making calendars, sewing and cooking. JoAnn was an avid gardener and enjoyed her flower gardens and living the life of a farm family. She did all kinds of needle work and enjoyed family gatherings. She loved decorating for Christmas and other holidays.

Visitation for family and friends will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, June 14, 2019, at Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, OH 44883, (419) 447-3113, with a wake service at 8 p.m.

There will be another visitation 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019, at St. Joseph Catholic Church followed at 10:30 a.m. by a funeral Mass with the Rev. Joseph Szybka officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A rosary will be recited 20 minutes prior to Mass.
