United Way campaign wraps up
We are so excited to have finished our United Way campaign April 30, having raised $477,649.58, or 95.5% of our goal. We owe it all to the help of our dedicated campaign cabinet volunteers and generous individuals and business donors for their outpouring of giving to the annual United Way campaign. We have such an amazing and generous community that sees the importance of working together to provide valuable services to the residents of Seneca County and to make a difference in the lives of our residents.
We are pleased to have been able to allocate over $290,000 to our primary agencies and another $76,485.89 in funds to our associate agencies, other non-profit agencies, other United Ways and to provide services through our First Call for Help program.
We especially appreciate Charles Ervin, our campaign chair, and Jeff Leopold, campaign vice-chair, for their wonderful leadership as the engineer and conductor of our campaign train! These two gentleman brought together a strong team of volunteers to help reach our community with the message that our United Way is celebrating 75 years of serving our community and how, together, we will “Continue the Journey of Hope.”
They were helped this year by four wonderful section chairs; Debby Roszman, section I; Randy Schroeder, section II; Christopher Lee, section III; and Lenny Clouse, section IV, along with the 25-plus other division chairs and team members. No one agency, or no one person, could tackle this on their own, so we are extremely grateful for their time, talents and treasures donated to the United Way.
We also are thankful to our board of trustees and allocation team for their time and efforts to support us through the governance of the organization and the distribution of the funding raised during the campaign.
As we always strive to reach for our goal, we must not be discouraged or discount the effort put forth by our campaign team and the amazing support of our community. This is truly a team effort to bring people together for the common goal of improving people’s lives and making a greater impact in our community! We wish to thank each person or business who have been part of our campaign, for your part in making United Way such a wonderful, caring and community minded organization.
As we come to the end of our campaign and fiscal year we want to celebrate the success of our team and the generosity of our donors and community supporters. For anyone who has donated to United Way, we consider you a member and invite you to join us for your annual United Way meeting and volunteer recognition award dinner. The event will take place Thursday at Mercy Health Tiffin Hospital in the McAuley Conference Room. The cost if $25 per person, or $200 for a table of 8. Please contact our office at (419) 448-0355, to RSVP for the evening event. We do look forward to seeing many of you there!
Thank you once again for another great year of teamwork, passion and commitment to the United Way and “Continuing the Journey of Hope” in our community!
