CASINO TRIP: New Riegel Athletic Boosters will have a bus for the El Dorado Casino (Scioto) Oct. 21. The bus leaves at 7:30 a.m. from the high school and will be back at 5:15 p.m. The cost is $30, which includes $20 in free play and $5 for food rebate. JUNIOR HIGH VOLLEYBALL: New Riegel’s eighth grade topped Sandusky St. Mary 25-19, 14-25, 25-13. Katelyn Arbogast made 10 digs for the Blue Jackets, while Ella Wank had seven aces and seven digs and Karis Schreiner ended with six aces and three digs.

n Leipsic’s eighth grade beat Hopewell-Loudon 25-18, 25-16. Jada Breidenbach served three aces for the Chieftains, while Shea Harper had five.

n Leipsic’s seventh grade topped Hopewell-Loudon 25-18, 19-25, 25-20. For H-L, Isabelle Beidelschies had four aces and four kills, while Kylee Malagon added three aces, two kills and five assists, Lydia Walters collected six kills and 11 assists, Anna Daniel had two aces and five kills and Kendall Eilrich finished with two aces and five kills.

n Old Fort’s eighth grade defeated Fremont St. Joe 25-20, 18-25, 25-22. For OF, Kennedy Guth slammed six kills, while Brooke Withrow tallied nine.

n Old Fort’s seventh grade topped Fremont St. Joe 13-25, 25-18, 30-28 as Trinity Quaintance belted seven kills and Gillian Eakin finished with three aces and a pair of digs for the Stockaders.

BOYS SOCCER: Vermilion beat Columbian 9-0 in Sandusky Bay Conference Lake Division play. Columbian’s Evan Schleter made six saves, while Kylen Coopshaw made five for the Tornadoes.

JV VOLLEYBALL: Vermilion beat Clyde 25-15, 28-26.

n Buckeye Central upended Galion 25-15, 25-19.

n Leipsic beat Hopewell-Loudon 26-24, 25-11. Brynn Carrel dished nine assists for H-L, while Taylor Sours had a pair of aces and four digs and Abby Welly finished with a pair of kills.
