CANCELED/RESCHEDULED EVENTS: The start time of today’s Bellevue’s home girls basketball game with Sandusky Perkins has been changed. The junior varsity starts at 10:30 a.m., followed by the varsity at approximately noon.

n The girls basketball game between Upper Sandusky and Carey originally scheduled for today has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Feb. 7.

n Seneca East’s girls game at Buckeye Central has been rescheduled for Feb. 7.

n The freshman boys basketball game between Upper Sandusky and Carey originally scheduled for today has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

n All Upper Sandusky High and Upper Sandusky Middle School events scheduled for today and Sunday have been canceled. This includes youth basketball and indoor soccer Sunday.

n Clyde’s girls basketball game with Norwalk originally scheduled for today has been canceled.

n Mohawk Junior High’s wrestling meet at Northwood originally scheduled for today has been canceled.

n Mohawk will not participate in today’s portion of the Van Buren Invitational wrestling tournament.

n Mohawk’s girls basketball game at Colonel Crawford originally scheduled for today has been rescheduled for Feb. 4.

n Mohawk’s boys basketball game with Buckeye Central originally scheduled for today has been rescheduled to Jan. 31.

n Old Fort’s girls basketball game today has been postponed until Thursday.

n The Seneca Arrows varsity basketball game scheduled for today against the Richland County Bears has been canceled.

n All activities at the Lakota school building are canceled for today and Sunday, including all biddy activities.

BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Ian Yeater tossed in 13 points and Bryce Conti added 10 for Carey in a 54-48 win over Seneca East. Jake Forehand had 16 and Andrew Kalb 10 for the Tigers.

n Clyde beat Norwalk 45-29.

n Fostoria beat Genoa 46-34.

n Old Fort routed New Riegel 63-16.

n Grantt Smith’s jumper at the buzzer gave Calvert a 41-39 win over Lakota. Nolan Beeker had 17 points for Calvert, while Payton Ackerman had 14 for the Raiders.

BOYS FRESHMAN BASKETBALL: Clyde beat Norwalk 41-33.

GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Tiffin’s eighth grade beat Oak Harbor 40-11. Mackenzie Davis and Lexi Smith each netted 10 points for the Tornadoes and Lydia Ridner had six.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL: Sarah Cummings and Jensen Hiegel each approached a double-double Friday to key Tiffin’s 84-72 women’s win against Alderson Broaddus. Cummings had 17 points and nine rebounds for the Dragons while Hiegel tallied 10 points and eight boards. Allie Miller scored another 13 points and Ali Schirmer provided 10. Alderson Broaddus got 12 points from Jeana Weatherspoon, 12 from Celeste Walters, and 10 each from Danielle Franklin and Simone Smith.

n Alderson Broaddus edged Tiffin’s men 86-85 Friday. Mike Davis led the victors with 32 points, David Shriver netted 19 and K.J. Walker had 12. Joshua Williams scored 24 points for the Dragons, Shane Waldon backed him with 16, Thomas Hickman had 13 and Terrell Mabins tallied 10.

n Otterbein tripped up Heidelberg’s men 92-88 Friday. Austin Springer scored 22 points for the Cardinals, Jay Joseph tossed in 19, Maurice Beaver chipped in 17 and Justin Carter had 16. Heidelberg got a game-high 27 points from Dylan Woods. Josh Dixon backed him with 21 points and Jimmy Hanley had 15.

n Otterbein’s women held off Heidelberg 74-70 Friday, getting 25 points from Dani Kissel. Ali Cartnal added 19 points for the Cardinals, Abbie Scholz turned in 14 and Angelia Jackson had 11. Alyssa Riley’s 16 points led Heidelberg, Aianna Wilson had 14 and Maddy Crawford scored 10.
