JV BASEBALL: Columbian beat Clyde 6-5. Seth Belville went 3 for 4 with an RBI for TC, Ethan Short ended 2 for 3 with two RBIs, Drew Vasko singled twice, David Auble singled. Cole Jordan had single and RBI and Carson Steinmetz had an RBI. Aidan Nitecki picked up the win in relief, striking out four in two innings.
n Hopewell-Loudon topped Fremont Ross 6-5. Luke Jameson was the winning pitcher and Tyler Fedele, Jameson and Owen Schumm all singled for H-L.
GOLF: In the Wednesday Senior League at Clinton Heights, the team of Don Kin, Ron Crowell, Mike Nampa and Mike Metres won at 4 under. Four teams tied at 3 under. Prize holes went to Ray Nutter (long putt) and Jim Carter (closest to pin in three).
n Rufus Tyree, Steve Schafer, Monte Scott and Brian Krauss shot 4 under to win Thursday’s Retirees League at Seneca Hills. Prize holes went to Scott (closest to pin No. 16) and Schafer (long putt No. 12).
BASEBALL: Tiffin Area Babe Ruth will player draft 1-4 p.m. Saturday at Vic Wurm Field at Hedges-Boyer Park for players age 13-16 who do not turn 17 before May 1.
