JUNIOR HIGH TRACK: Tiffin Middle School’s girls placed second in the SBC Lake Division track meet, while the boys finished fourth. The girls had 122 points, while Clyde McPherson was third (75 ½) and Bellevue took fifth (65). For the boys, Clyde was second (107), while Bellevue took third (104). Perkins won both meets. In the boys meet, Keishon Seitz was third in the long jump (9-0) for TMS, while Carter Groves ran third in the 1,600 (5:28.39). In the girls meet, Lexi Smith won the 800 (2:35.25) for TMS. Seconds went to Audrey Hepp in the 200 dash (28.71), the 4×100 relay (55.65) team of Makenzie Davis, Faith Egbert, Brooklyn Raneri and Makaylee Kidwell, the 4×200 relay (2:00.15) squad of Davis, Jordyn Shoemaker, Emma Simonds and Hepp and the 4×400 relay (4:34.44) team of Hepp, Kenna Bowles, Dallas Poll and Smith. Thirds went to Kelsie Weingart in the 1,600 (5:57.70), Bowles in the 400 (1:10.42), Raneri in the 800 (29.40), Davis in the long jump (14-1), Smith in the high jump (4-6) and Julia Keefe in the pole vault (6-6).

YOUTH BASKETBALL: The fifth annual Hopewell-Loudon basketball camp is May 29-31 at the high school in both gyms. The camps is for boys grades 1-7, running 8:30-11:30 a.m. Cost is $30 for grades 1-7. Registration forms are available at school, via coaches or on the school basketball website. Return the registration and payment by Monday if possible to guarantee camp orders (T-shirt/etc.) are on time. Late registrations will be accepted on site, but camp gifts may be late or unavailable. Coach Roger Jury and members of the Chieftain basketball staff will conduct the camp. Present players and alumni may be available to assist. Athletes in upper grades will spend a portion of the camp practicing team concepts and fundamentals for summer league, possible shoot-outs, team camps, etc.

n The 2019 Par Tee League, sponsored by Phat Cakes, starts Tuesday at Clinton Heights. The league lasts 18 weeks and will be played in three seasons. Players can tee off between 4-6 p.m. This is a league with individual play with handicap. League players will collect points for each week based on how they play each of the nine holes each week.
