TC bunches scores to drop Redmen

CLYDE — Bellevue had the medalist, but Columbian bunched its scores just a little better Tuesday to claim a 168-170 win at Sleepy Hollow.

Trevor McCarthy fired a 40 to spark the winning Tornadoes (1-0). Braden Brown and Andrew Branson followed with twin 42s, and Greg Gase shot a 44.

Jacob Tiell’s 38 for the Redmen led everyone. Jacob Volkman shot a 42, Connor Rospert added a 43 and Garrett Vickery turned in a 47.

1-2 punch fuels Blue Devils

CAREY — Two Carey players broke 40 Tuesday to guide the Blue Devils past Mohawk 162-194 in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play at Bob’s Countryside.

Trey Bame shot a par 36 to pace Carey (2-0, 2-0 N10) and Marcus Miller had a 37. McKain Miller backed them with a 41 and Dylan Grothaus tallied a 48.

Mohawk (0-1, 0-1) got a 42 from Logan Drum, 45 from Tyler Tusing, a 52 from Drew Lininger and twin 55s from Marshall Stull and Brett Kelbley.

Twin 41s key Gibsonburg

FOSTORIA — Fred Sisco and Sydney Leyerle tied for medalist honors at 41 to lead Gibsonburg to a triangular win at Loudon Meadows. The Golden Bears held off Hopewell-Loudon 175-182, with Old Fort shooting a 208.

Garrett White’s 44 topped the runner-up Chieftains, with Conner White adding a 45.

Carson Steyer and Kaleb Wilkinson each had a 51 for Old Fort.

Rockets get past Rams

UPPER SANDUSKY — Upper Sandusky’s Brett Montgomery once again was the medalist with a 36 Tuesday at Lincoln Hills, but Ridgedale took the Northern 10 Athletic Conference victory, 174-178.

Backing Montgomery was Evan Young’s 41, Keegan Hossler’s 49 and Isaiah Washburn’s 52.

Brett Bianchi also carded a 52 for the Rams (1-2, 0-2 N10).

Mitchill Reasoner led the charge for the Rockets (2-0 N10) with a 38, while Brock Williams had a 40, Jesse Schertzer added a 46 and Grant Park finished with a 50.

Truckers roll past TC

NORWALK — Norwalk used the top two scores as the springboard to beating Columbian, 185-203 Tuesday at Eagle Creek.

Bethany Cring fired a medalist round of 38 for the Truckers and Anna Little shot a 39.

Ava Sarka led the Tornadoes (0-1) with a 42 and Tyler Ward shot a 52.

Flyers drop Bucks

NORWALK — Despite Elizabeth Heydinger’s 48 for Buckeye Central, Norwalk St. Paul won the dual 194-209 at Eagle Creek Tuesday.

Paige Shealy added a 52 for the Bucks, while Lexi Biglin scored a 53 and Alli Stahl ended with a 56.

Willa Obringer carded a 58 and Tori Thimmes registered a 60.

The Bucks are 2-1 overall.
