TC girls top Fliers, boys fall short

FREMONT — The Columbian girl’s bowling team beat Clyde by nearly 180 pins, while the boys fell just short of a win Monday at Plaza Lanes.

The girls topped Clyde 1,699-1,521 in total pins taking a 178-pin victory.

Ainsley Sherman led the Tornadoes with a 308 series, while Nura Himebaugh added a 296 series followed by Ariel Hollins (265), Emily Fretz (242) and Emily Sikora (232).

Clyde’s boys team escaped with a 16-pin victory (2,528-2,512) over the Tornadoes.

Keygan Yonts bowled a 475 high series for TC. Tommy Peer added a 407 series, while Dayvd McCray rolled up a 339. Dylan McCray followed with a 304 and Evan Birch capped the Tornadoes with a 278.
