Sarka-led Tornadoes down Little Giants

FREMONT — Getting off to a good start with a birdie on the first hole Monday at the Fremont Country Club, Columbian’s Ava Sarka shot a 43 to lead TC past Fremont Ross 209-220.

Backing Sarka for TC was Taylor Losey with a 51, Meredith Obringer with a 56 and Tyler Ward shooting a 59. Norah Smith (67) and Camryn Gibson (70) also competed.

Bucks breeze past Rams

NEW WASHINGTON — Buckeye Central had four scores in the 50s Monday, while Upper Sandusky had two in a 214-249 Northern 10 Athletic Conference victory at Cranberry Hills.

The Bucks were led by Liz Heydinger with a 51, while also getting a 53 from Leah Vanderpool and 55s from Lexi Biglin and Alli Stahl.

For Upper Sandusky, Hally Courtad and Kendra Conley shot twin 58s, while Katie Clark shot a 66 and Katie Conley finished with a 67.

Senecas win 5th in a row

OAK HARBOR — Calvert golf is on a role. The Senecas got their fifth consecutive win Monday in a 178-204 Sandusky Bay Conference River Division victory over Danbury at Oak Harbor Golf Course.

Sominic Mangiola led the Senecas (5-2, 4-2 SBC) with a 41, while teammate Brayden Thomas tacked on a 43, Jacob Kin shot a 45 and Maddy Brown carded a 49. Will Klepper shot a 52 and Braeden Elchert finished with a 64.

For Danbury, Bradley Murray had a 50, while David Mesnard and Tyler Murray shot twin 51s and Grayson Clark ended with a 52.

Consistent Raiders get by Golden Bears

FREMONT — Ethan Longoria led the way with a 41, but the rest of Lakota wasn’t far behind in a 170-190 victory over Gibsonburg at Sycamore Hills.

Backing Longoria was Kyleigh Dull and Connor Hill with 42s and Jayden Bonnell carded a 45. Marshall Minnich (49) and Colt Dible (56) also played.

For Gibsonburg, Fred Sisco recorded a 42, while it also got a 48 from Nathan Tornow and 50s from Mitchel Delventhal and Tyler Pelish.

Stockaders rout Panthers

CLYDE — Old Fort dominated Sandusky St. Mary 176-206 Monday at Green Hills in a Sandusky Bay Conference River Division matchup.

Leading the Stockaders (3-4) was Kaleb Wilkinson and Carson Steyer with 43s, while Jarett Woodall added a 44 and Andrew Combs tacked on a 46. Colin Nutter registered a 48 and Jack DeRan ended with a 55.

Ashton Goff led everyone with a 42 for SMCC (0-4), while Casey Crooks totaled a 52, Jonathan Perry scored a 54 and Carson Kasper finished with a 58.

TC 9th at District Preview

FINDLAY — Lexington beat our St. John’s 313-320 Monday at Red Hawk at the District Preview.

Columbian was ninth with a 371.

Trevor McCarthy led the Tornadoes with an 88, while Griffin Bunting added a 93, Greg Gase shot a 94 and Brenton Brown carded a 96. Also competing was TC’s Gabe Reyes (103) and Collin Anway (113).

Montgomery fires a 34 to lead Rams

UPPER SANDUSKY — Like he’s done for most of the season, Upper Sandusky’s Brett Montgomery led the Rams to a 174-180 Northern 10 Athletic Conference victory over Seneca East with a 34.

The Rams (8-0, 4-0 N10) also got a 46 from Evan Young and 47s by Trevor Clifford and Isaiah Washburn and Benjamin Latham. Owen Knapp shot a 49.

Jake Forehand led the Tigers with a 43, while Turner Bridgford and Andrew Kalb shot 44s and Andy Bauman had a 49. Jon Margraf had a 51 and Blake Miller shot a 55.

Streaks stay perfect

FREMONT — Fremont St. Joe made quick work of New Riegel with a 180-200 Sandusky Bay Conference River Division victory at Sycamore Hills.

For St. Joe (8-0), Lance Emrich led the way with a 42, while Garrett Michael added a 43, Blake Michael tacked on a 47 and Parker Smith carded a 48. Caden Spader (51) and David Foos (53) also played.

For New Riegel (1-9), Brandon Seifert registered a 44. It also got 50s from Jacob Theis and Carson Whipple and a 56 from Sam Whipple. Eric Theis shot a 58 and Cole Miller ended with a 62.
