MORRAL — Carey’s offense rolled in the first half and the defense took over in the second half Thursday in an 85-48 Northern 10 Athletic Conference rout of Ridgedale.

The Blue Devils (6-4, 4-2 N10) raced out to a 27-12 lead at the first top and entered halftime up 53-31. They allowed just 17 points in the second half.

Hayden Stone led the charge with 21 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks.

Jordan Dasher tossed in 18 points, Griffin Summit had 14 points and 11 boards, Isaiah Hoepf scored 10 points and Casey Crawford tallied eight points and four steals.

Ashton Bigler scored 17 points for the Rockets (6-4, 3-4) and Clayton Lust had 13. Sam Leach grabbed six rebounds.

Cold shooting dooms Bucks

BUCYRUS — Bucyrus took advantage of Buckeye Central’s poor shooting and Kyle Hamm’s double-double to claim a 55-42 Northern 10 Athletic Conference win Thursday.

Buckeye Central (1-9, 1-6 N10) hit on just 15 of its 51 field goal tries, which included a 2-for-18 showing on 3-pointers.

Hamm keyed the Redmen (2-9, 2-5) with 13 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. Harley Robinson scored a game-high 14 points and Jaylen Zehner had 12 points and four assists.

Brady Biglin scored 12 points for the Bucks, Tyler Rose and Darren Wurm both netted 10 points and Mason Stahl had eight boards and four steals.

Hiccup in second costs Seneca East

ATTICA — Wynford clamped down in the second quarter and turned back Seneca East from there Thursday for a 55-47 Northern 10 Athletic Conference win.

The Royals (2-8, 2-6 N10) led just 17-15 at the first stop before outscoring the Tigers 16-5 in the second period.

Josh Crall netted 23 points for Wynford and Brock Noblit had nine.

Jake Hall scored 13 points for Seneca East (3-5, 2-5) and Tyler Turek added 10.
