GIRLS BASKETBALL: Calvert beat Gibsonburg 49-40 in Sandusky Bay Conference River Division play. Shelby Hemminger led the Senecas with 13 points, 10 assists, three steals and three rebounds. Lexie White added 12 points and 12 boards, Emma White scored nine points and Mallary Nielson hauled in 10 rebounds.

BOYS JV BASKETBALL: Seneca East beat Buckeye Central 63-49. Andrew Kalb led the winners with 15 points, Elijah Riggs and Turner Bridgford both netted 11 and Jake Forehand had eight. Nick Ramey scored 14 points for the Bucks, Aiden McDougal tallied 13 and Casey Geissman had 10.

GIRLS JV BASKETBALL: Columbian overwhelmed Oak Harbor 41-16. Lizzie Newland scored 13 points for the Tornadoes and Mia Ingalls Tatiana Dines both had eight.

n Jasilynn Woodall scored seven points and Kaureena Alridge had six to lead Old Fort past New Riegel 23-13. Olivia Shaferly scored four points for New Riegel

n Gibsonburg beat Calvert 28-25 in overtime. Frann Webb scored seven points for Calvert and Kate Rombach and Maddie Ball both had five.

GIRLS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Hopewell-Loudon’s seventh grade beat Vanlue 45-17 to move to 11-2 overall and 8-1 in the Blanchard Valley Conference.

n Old Fort’s seventh grade beat Gibsonburg 26-6. Alexis Ward has nine points for Old Fort, Addyson Gillmor scored eight and Macie Miller added seven.

n Old Fort’s eighth grade beat Gibsonburg 40-34. Cameran Cleveland led the Stockaders with 14 points and Kennedy Guth had 11.

n Calvert’s eighth grade beat Sandusky St. Mary 38-24, thanks to Seyla Moyer’s 20 points and Ashlyn Deats’ six.

BOYS JUNIOR HIGH BASKETBALL: Vanlue’s seventh grade upended Hopewell-Loudon 36-33. Evan Kreais scored 16 points for H-L and Blake Berrier had five.

n Chase Jorgensen tossed in 18 points and Hayden Welly added 15 to key Hopewell-Loudon’s 56-23 eighth grade win against Vanlue.

n Old Fort powered past Gibsonburg 43-38 in eighth grade play. Isaac Snyder netted 14 points for the Stockaders, Adam Magers scored 12 and Elijah Englehart tossed in seven.

n Old Fort’s eighth grade beat Gibsonburg 42-8. Blake Bender led the winners with 13 points and Konnor Ernsberger had eight.

n Brayden Roggow scored 21 points and Bryce Roggow had 16 to fuel Tiffin’s 55-48 seventh grade win against Clyde.

n Logan Beaston poured in 31 points to key Tiffin’s 57-49 win against Clyde. Zak Siebenaller chipped in 11 points for the Tornadoes.

n Calvert topped Sandusky St. Mary 44-23 in seventh grade play. Jacob Rombach led Calvert with 13 points while Taleb Al-Zakwani had nine and Lucas Recker added seven.

n Calvert eighth grade beat Sandusky St. Mary 38-32. Nick Palm led Calvert with 20 points and Maison Johnson chipped in seven.
