PREP SOFTBALL: Alexis Fogle doubled in Jenna Rodriguez and Brooke Swavel with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to push Upper Sandusky past Bucyrus 8-7, handing the Redmen their first Northern 10 Athletic Conference loss. Fogle also singled and added three more RBIs for the Rams (13-5, 10-1 N10). Rodriguez ended with three runs, a double, single and RBI, Swavel singled twice and scored another run, and Jade Holman singled twice and scored twice. Alivia Oney (10-2) earned the win. Caleigh Rister fanned nine, but took the loss for Bucyrus (11-5, 9-1). Jade Torres doubled twice, singled and knocked in two runs.

JV TENNIS: Upper Sandusky’s Isaiah Hale won a match 6-4.

JUNIOR HIGH BASEBALL: Tiffin Middle School Big Sticks beat Buckeye Central Middle School 15-5.Tiffin improved to 8-0. Tiffin collected 10 hits. Braylon Auble had two hits, a double and a single. Dylan Reinhart added two singles and Gavin McLane hit a double. Cole Routzahn, Tyler Goff, Jake Gelinas, Blaise Wagner and Quinton Tucker each singled. Tyler Goff pitched two innings, striking out two. Mason Garcia pitched three innings, striking out four.

BASEBALL: Tiffin Area Babe Ruth will player draft 1-4 p.m. Saturday at Vic Wurm Field at Hedges-Boyer Park for players age 13-16 who do not turn 17 before May 1.
