Kirian has big game as Lakota rolls

OLD FORT — Racquelle Kirian had a career day at the plate, and Lakota rumbled past Sandusky Bay Conference River Division foe Old Fort 13-4.

Kirian had four hits — including a double and a triple — and drove in two runs while scoring three.

It was part of an 18-hit outburst by the Raiders, which was more than enough for pitcher Marrissa Claburn.

Claburn — who doubled and drove in a run at the plate — gave up four runs in a complete seven innings, but only two were earned. She allowed eight hits while walking one and striking out five.

Jenna Ranzenberger had three hits and drove in three runs for the Raiders, while Emylee Herr and Leanne Craun each had two hits and three runs. Mekenzie Rathburn singled in two runs.

For Old Fort, Savannah McCoy had two hits and drove in two runs, and MarQue Harris doubled and singled. Ashlyn Magers singled and scored, as did Laini Gillett.
